US animal rights group roar at Bieber's tiger act

Canadian pop star Justin Bieber seems to be in the bad books of US animal rights organisation People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta).

He recently celebrated the engagement of his father, and for some reason the party featured a tiger.

Bieber, 22, subsequently posted a picture of himself petting the animal’s head on Instagram.

Peta said in a statement: “Exotic animals used for entertainment are usually torn away from their mothers at a young age, beaten into submission by trainers and forced to live in cramped enclosures.

Tigers used in this way are denied everything that they need to be happy, and we can only imagine that the tiger Justin posed with has experienced a life of misery.”
