Have you ever wondered what sort of music your favourite Star Wars character might like or which character would share your taste in music?

Well, Spotify has the answer - or do they?

The digital music service has a playlist "game" where you can find your Star Wars music match, but you might not like the answer.

I know I don't.

Apparently, I have the same taste in music as C-3PO.

Basically, Spotify gives you a choice of musical artists, and you have to pick your top five.

From the (quite limited) selection, I chose My Chemical Romance, Led Zeppelin, Queen, the London Symphony Orchestra and John Williams (the man who composed the various scores for the Star Wars films).

Now, I'm sorry, but no one can tell me that C-3PO likes Immigrant Song, Na Na Na and Fat Bottomed Girls.

I guess we got paired because of the more classical stuff.

Anyway, I think the quiz is nonsense.

As more proof, my editor ended up getting Kylo Ren, and she chose Beyonce.

There is no universe in which the super-goth villain busts a move to Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).

Since Spotify has obviously dropped the ball on this one, I'm gonna pick it up and run with it.

These should be the favourite artists of your favourite The Force Awakens characters.

Rey may be a kick-ass heroine, but she's no sophisticate. She's the kind of girl who will just listen to whatever is on the radio. I think she'd dig the upbeat, girl power vibe of Swift.

FAVE SONG: Started From The Bottom

This man of action listens to music that gets him pumped, something with a beat and empowering lyrics. Secretly, he's more of a lover than a fighter, which is why he goes with Drake.

KYLO REN

FAVE ACT: Smashing Pumpkins

FAVE SONG: Disarm

FAVE LYRIC: "The killer in me is the killer in you"

Brooding, sensitive, stylish and complicated, Kylo is the prototypical goth. He'd obviously gravitate to the epic emo wailings of the early Smashing Pumpkins.
