FAS bans Firdaus

February 7, 2012 - 1:11am

By:

AFTER making the starting line-up for the last two Malaysian Super League games, LionsXII’s Firdaus Kasman will now have to cease all football activities.

The midfielder has been suspended by the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) with immediate effect for breaching the Code of Conduct & Professional Ethics.

Last Saturday night, Firdaus, 24, along with a friend, was detained by police for suspicion of theft while he was out drinking at Clarke Quay.

According to an FAS statement, Firdaus, his fiancee and friend were out celebrating his belated birthday when he became drunk and felt like vomiting.

His friend helped him to the toilet but, before doing so, he picked up a stranger’s handbag, which he thought belonged to Firdaus' fiancee.

What a disgrace!!!...Not mainly because he was suspected of stealing but the lack of discipline in oneself. A malay muslim some more.

This is unlike a behaviour of a professional player. Knowing that there's training and you can't resist the temptations.

One mistake could simply cost you your career and ambitions.

No point if you are a hard-working or skillful player if you don't use your brain!...

I thought LionsXII players are very discipline in-and-out of the pitch especially under coach Sundram but it seems Firdaus Kasman had brought a total disgrace to the team and nation..

As a professional player, he should use more brain..being a professional player also doesn't mean that anybody in the team can act like a 'diva' or such an idiot or being a trouble-maker on the streets, harrassing people..people like Firdaus Kasman should be more mature as he is a role-model for the youth and kids in Singapore to play football.

LionsXII now in crisis of injury players and with this problem, Firdaus Kasman just adding it more worse..

For this action, FAS should ban him as this is too much and totally unacceptable..

Like what assistant coach Kadir Yahya mentioned before.

"Live right or you'll pay the price."

The Lions have their first casualty.

So what now?
They BANNED him and the Lions start winning games because they have a bunch of obedient boys or everything is still just the same?

Cannot get the right results on field so they try to SCORE some point OFF FIELD?

Player get sack for performing badly on/off field.
Manager get sack for not winning the matches!
Who should we sack if nothing is won for the whole year in all the Cups available? Someone right at the TOP?

They are young and want to enjoy but forget about discipline. Do not blame FAS because from kids they have been discipline by their parents. Now they have to  pray for god to have good future after this mistake they make. Do not lost hope in life and keep trying for the best next time.
