FAS boss says sorry for LionsXII's farcical draw

September 16, 2012 - 2:05am

After having one full day to mull over the farcical scenes of the LionsXII's 0-0 draw with Johor FC in a Malaysia Cup match, the president of Football Association of Singapore (FAS) has apologised.

However, Zainudin’s e-mail response did not address two questions posed by The New Paper – will any action be taken against the LionsXII for their unsportsman-like performance, and is the FAS considering a refund for fans who paid to watch the game?

Yesterday, at least one fan posted on the FAS Facebook page asking for his money back.

LionsXII assistant coach Kadir Yahaya was also apologetic when asked for his reaction to the negative headlines and said the LionsXII must now win back the fans.

Stop wasting your time on this Lions team!
They will get to NOWHERE!
No one will dare called themselves Lions fans because others will laugh the hell out of them!

I agreed the LionXII will not be able to reach semi-final.
