Irwan's wiser for Sabah rematch

Sis months ago, defender Irwan Shah was as surprised as anyone to have started the first four games of the Malaysian Super League (MSL) season.

The LionsXII have played in 26 league and Cup games so far this season, and Irwan has featured in 23 of them, missing three matches because of suspension.

Admittedly, Irwan has endured some low points in the current campaign.

The Sabah match tonight prompted him to recall the heated incident on Jan 21, when the teams first met in Kota Kinabalu.

The LionsXII won that match 1-0, after Irwan had been sent off along with Sabah's Mafry Balang for an off-the-ball scuffle.
