The good news is LionsXII skipper Shahril Ishak should be back for the Malaysia Cup in September.

However, the talismanic 28-year-old could well miss the rest of the Malaysian Super League season, as it emerged he would need surgery to fix the dislocated shoulder suffered after scoring the first goal in the 3-3 home draw against Kedah 10 days ago.

The 10-goal attacker missed the goalless draw against Kuala Lumpur last Tuesday and is set to be ruled out of LionsXII's last five league games against Sarawak (tonight), Sabah (June 16), Terengganu (June 19), T-Team (July 10) and Johor FC (July 14), putting paid to any hopes of winning the topscorer award in his debut season.

He will also not take part in the Lions' international friendlies against Hong Kong (June 1) and Malaysia (June 8 and 12).
