A defensive rock when marshalling the team's backline, he's also gone on the front foot and scored the LionsXII's first goal in the Malaysian Super League against Kelantan.

But Baihakki Khaizan could miss his team's next match against Terengganu at Jalan Besar Stadium on Saturday and could be absent from significantly longer than that.

The New Paper understands that the centre back who went for a Magnetic Resonance Imaging scan on his right knee yesterday could be out for up to five weeks.

It is believed that he sustained the injury when he knocked knees with Sufian Anuar in training on Tuesday.
