Mired in controversy over the last few days, the LionsXII have had to refocus ahead of their Malaysia Cup quarter-final clash with Pahang.

Three days after their much-criticised performance against Johor FC, V Sundramoorthy’s men went through a two-hour training session at Tampines Stadium yesterday.

Afterwards, Sundram kept three players behind – strikers Khairul Amri, Agu Casmir and midfielder Shahdan Sulaiman –to work on their finishing.

For 30 minutes, the trio took first-time shots at goal off low crosses with Sundram saying that an away goal is vital.
