Fatigue was the main reason why the LionsXII fell to their first away defeat in the MSL last night.

That, at the hands of PKNS, a team that had won only twice in 12 games previously.

LionsXII coach V Sundramoorthy believes the run of nine games in a month had taken its toll on the team. PKNS coach Abdul Rahman Ibrahim also felt this wasn't the LionsXII team that they knew.

Although they are aware that they could face the "real LionsXII" in the reverse fixture at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Tuesday, Abdul Rahman added that his strategy would be different.
