The LionsXII may have the services of many national players, but it means very little against Johor FC tonight because this is the Malaysia Cup.

Teams in the Malaysia Cup can go from ordinary to extraordinary. After five matches in the competition, the LionsXII players have realised this. They know there’s no room for complacency tonight.

Never mind that we’re playing at home on a pitch that we’re used to. We must not be naive.

If we rush things, if we attack without care, we’ll be in trouble. We must be patient.
