NICOLETTE Fernadez: The girl with the golden touch for animals.
She describes herself as someone who's impatient and bad-tempered but yet finds herself surprisingly good with animals.
"I used to go to the zoo every week and try to communicate with the animals by making weird sounds. "I tried the sea lions - which are my favourite - then the lions and the dogs. "The dogs actually responded by barking back at me."
Nicolette used to visit the SPCA twice a week and donates money each time she's there.
"Each time I go there, I'll donate $10 which I save from my own money. "I'll visit all the animals there and play with them." She adopted two rabbits but they passed away last year.
Recently, she had to give her Siberian Husky away because her family didn't have time to take care of her but they still visit her once in a while.
"I feel sad but I don't regret it because she's happy," she said.
