LI YONG likes quirky things.

She likes to eat pickles dipped in tomato sauce, a combination she chanced upon by accident. "I decided to try something new. "I saw the tomato sauce and I used it and it tasted really nice." And she also loves the pickle juice. "It tastes sour at first but the more you drink it, the more you'll like it."

Besides that, she also has quirky habits.

She intends to try out extreme sports like sky-diving and dirt-biking as well.

"I learned roller-blading at five, and I did rock climbing at a young age too."

The 17-year-old added: "I do a lot of random things; I picked up the guitar and recently, the ukelele."

She said: "People find me quirky. Others find me hyper or weird." For this, she credits her father and lives by something he told her. "My dad said to me, 'Life is too short for you to hesitate.' "I admire him and I relate to him well. Sometimes I feel like I'm daddy's girl."
