New Face 2012 Profile: Eunice Lim

EUNICE doesn’t only share a strong bond with her mother, she also inherited her mum’s teachings and personality.

She said: “My mum’s my best friend. She’s the only one there for me. I respect her and I listen to her.”

Asked about her most treasured piece of advice from her mum, Eunice said: “Don’t let what anyone says about you bring you down. Stand up for what you believe in.”

She added: “Because of circumstances in her past, my mum became a stronger and more determined person.

“And I’ve developed a strong personality as well because of her advice.”

At age 12, Eunice’s mother lost her own mum and had to provide for her family and look after her siblings.

Smiling, Eunice said: “My mum’s thrifty, so whenever I go shopping, I’ll buy her something because I know she won’t get it for herself.”
