13 taken to hospital after crash near Serangoon Junior College
What started out as a normal journey went awry when the bus they were in hit a Comfort taxi at Upper Serangoon Road.
Eleven passengers in the SBS Transit bus, the cabby and his passenger were taken to hospital following the crash near Serangoon Junior College yesterday evening.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was alerted to the incident at around 7.30pm. Its spokesman said a fire engine and four ambulances were sent to the scene.
Mr Jack Queck, who lives at Block 370, Hougang Street 31, which is about 50m from the accident scene, said he was watching television when he heard a crash and a scream.
The 35-year-old jackpot administrator added: "Five or six accidents have taken place near this spot since I moved here in 1998."
