4 other inconsiderate and dangerous road incidents in Singapore
When The New Paper reported on a driver as he blocked an ambulance on the right lane of the Pan Island Expressway for five minutes, it quickly became a talking point among Singaporeans.
The ambulance was rushing a 45-year-old woman in critical condition to hospital.
Despite the ambulance's sirens, the Hyundai Matrix refused to give way - causing an online furore among netizens in disbelief.
This incident is just one of many involving inconsiderate motorists, and cyclists, on the road.

1. A Mercedes-Benz CLS tailgates an ambulance
The ambulance went on to the road shoulder to overtake other vehicles at the heavily-congested Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE).
The Mercedes driver then takes advantage by following the ambulance.
2. Honda Civic bully
Quek Zhen Hao, who was dubbed the "Honda Civic Bully" after his road terrorising ways were caught on camera.
The student first encountered Ms Goh Siok Ling at a car park in Petir Road, Bukit Panjang. As Ms Goh tried to exit a car park, Mr Quek had just turned into the car park.
Both were facing each other head on so Ms Goh reversed to give way to Quek. Instead of parking his car, Quek went on to tailgate Ms Goh and then swerved recklessly in front of her without signalling.
Then he got out of his vehicle and approached the woman in the other car in a threatening manner. You can watch the video here.
The 25-year-old was fined $5,400 and disqualified from driving for two years after he pleaded guilty to two charges of driving rashly to endanger life and one of displaying threatening behaviour.
3. Motorcyclist smashed car's window for overtaking
Briton James George Palin confronted, abused and then smashed the couple's car window late last year at Tanjong Katong Road.
Palin first overtook the car and his motorcycle knocked its front right bumper.
Then the driver Mr Chiang Pak Chien overtook the motorcycle. Palin then banged on the car two times before overtaking the car and stopping in front of it.
Then Palin walked towards the car and smashed the windows as he said: "What the f*** are you doing?"
Palin was subsequently sentenced to three months' jail.
4. Metal sheets slide off trailer truck and slammed into the car
A woman was driving along Punggol Road when she saw the trailer truck coming towards her. As she slowed down, the truck's cargo of metal sheets slid off and slammed into her car.
The impact pushed her vehicle up a curb, and a piece of metal sheet that had sliced and cut her tyre pinned the car against a tree.
