8 injured in four-vehicle accident in Ang Mo Kio

An SMRT bus, a minibus, a car and a van were involved in an accident yesterday at the junction of Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 and Street 24.

Eight people were injured.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force was alerted at about 9am and the victims were taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

The SMRT said in a statement that the van, bus and car collided with its bus service 851, which was stationary at the junction.

In a separate incident, a motorcyclist died in an accident along the Seletar Expressway at about 5am yesterday.

The police said the accident involved a motorcycle and a car. The driver of the car has been arrested and investigations are ongoing.
