Actor Tracy Morgan critically injured after fatal car crash
Actor Tracy Morgan remains in critical condition after a fatal car accident that left his limo bus overturned in New Jersey on Saturday
The 45-year-old was returning from a stand-up comedy show when the collision took place. An SUV, two tractor-trailers and two other cars were involved in the accident, that has killed one and injured three others.
James McNair,63, a comedian who was one of Morgan's closest friends, died in the crash. He was riding Morgan's limo bus.
Morgan, who is best known for playing a heightened version of himself on 30 Rock, was flown by helicopter to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. His representative, Lewis Kay, said in a statement: "His family is now with him and he is receiving excellent care. We don't anticipate much of a change in his condition today."
Truck driver charged
Meanwhile, a truck driver has been charged with causing the crash. The police said they believed the driver dozed off and did not see traffic slowing in front of his 18-wheeler until moments before he crashed into the vehicle that Morgan and his entourage were in.
The New Jersey State Police Sgt. First Class Gregory Williams said: "He observed at the last minute - just priot to impact - the limo bus carrying morgan and his party."
Meanwhile celebrities have been offering their support and love for Morgan and his family.
