Air Asia QZ8501: Indonesian transport official says flight had asked for 'unusual' route

According to an official from Indonesia's transport ministry, missing Air Asia flight QZ8501 had asked for an unusual route before it lost contact with air traffic control.
Mr Hadi Mustofa from the transport ministry said the flight lost contact with air traffic control at 7.17 am (Singapore time).
