Another suspected case of Ebola in Malaysia
Another suspected case of Ebola has been reported in Malaysia.
This time the case is in Kuching, capital of Sarawak, Malay Mail reported.
The patient is believed to be an African male suffering from fever.
Dr Zulkifli Jantan, the state health director, confirmed on Monday that they are monitoring the suspect.
“Yes, investigations are being carried out. No details yet. He is only a suspect,” he told Malay Mail Online by e-mail.
Dr Zulkifli declined to elaborate.
No cause for alarm
He added that there was no cause for alarm.
The first suspected case was reported in Perak last week, but the tests proved negative.
More than 2,400 people have died from the disease so far in West Africa.
