'Balcony sex' man flees M'sia?

This article is more than 12 months old

Is he still in the country?

Police are verifying information that the man in that "balcony sex" video has left Malaysia.

Brickfields police chief Asst Comm Muhammad Azlee Abdullah said there was a possibility that the suspect has gone - given the fact he was a foreigner.

He said:

"The longest you can stay in Malaysia is a month. But we don't know for sure if he's out of the country or not."

Hence, the police have to "verify everything first", he added.

Last week, police identified the man based on information from the public: He is a foreigner in his 30s renting the apartment in Bangsar South with his partner.

A tenant from another apartment had filmed him and a woman having intercourse on the apartment balcony and the 30-minute sex video went viral on social media after it was posted.

Police are also investigating the person who recorded the video and to find out the exact location where the filming took place.
