Battlestar Galactica gets 2-seater cars
The Battlestar Galactica ride at Universal Studios Singapore, which has not been operating for 16 months, will reopen early next year.
The world's tallest duelling roller coaster will have a new design, Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) said yesterday.
Its four-seater vehicles will be replaced by two-seaters. This is meant to allow riders to feel closer to the experience.
"It will be as if every rider has their own window seat," said Mr John Hallenbeck, senior vice-president of attractions at RWS.
Battlestar Galactica was closed in July last year for what RWS called an "attraction review".
It will reopen after an extensive review of all its components and systems. Routine tests with the new vehicles are being done and the reopening date will be announced soon, RWS said.
