Black cats dumped cos they look bad in selfies?
Meow, it's enough to make any self-respecting black feline pissed off.
News is out that people are taking a selfie... with a better-looking cat?
The Daily Mail reported that more black cats are abandoned in the UK because they do not look good in selfies.
The Royal Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) announced that black cats accounted for more than 70 per cent of the 1,000 cats in its care.
A spokesman for the animal welfare group said: "There are a number of reasons for us having so many black cats, including the fact that black felines are not as photogenic as other cats."
Orange is the new black
The founder of RSPCA Ronnie McMillen, 71, said: "We just have had a lot of black cats in this year - people don't like black at the moment."
Well, orange is the new black, according to McMillen.
He said: "Ginger male cats are the most popular."
Fortunately, some cat owners are still more than happy to take selfies, and more importantly take care, of their black cats.
