Body of woman found chopped up and burnt in Penang

A woman in her 20s has been found brutally murdered, and her body chopped into pieces and set fire to.

The incident is believed to have taken place on Monday at Juru, a small industrial town in Central Seberang Prai, Penang.

Central Seberang Prai Assistant Commissioner Rusli Mohd Noor said the police are currently searching for the woman’s boyfriend to assist in investigations.

Penang Hospital Forensic Department director Datuk Dr Zahari Noor who visited the crime scene said he had been asked to determine if the burnt pieces of flesh discovered belonged to a human being.
