Centenarian walks 70-year-old daughter down the aisle
It was the perfect birthday present for the 100-year-old Briton as he witnessed his 70-year-old daughter put on her wedding ring.
Mr William Nunn, from Cambridge, had to steady himself on a walking frame as he walked daughter Jean down the aisle for the second time, reported The Mirror.
“I am very pleased Jean found someone to love," he said.
The ceremony was attended by 16 friends and family in a register office.
Jean met her husband while on a sailing holiday.
“I rather jokingly said to him a year or 18-months-ago that if he made it to a hundred, then he could give me away again. It is fantastic that he actually did," the bride said.
“We know two other couples of our generation who have married in the last six months, but I don’t know of anyone else whose dad is 100.”
