City Harvest Church leaders trial: Chew Eng Han says Kong Hee lied in court
Kong Hee lied in court, said former City Harvest Church (CHC) fund manager, Chew Eng Han, today (Jan 2).
While being cross-examined by the prosecution, Chew said Kong, Tan Ye Peng and Serina Wee were the ones who decided on the budgets and financing of CHC singer-pastor Ho Yeow Sun's music career.
Kong had testified last year it was the directors of Xtron Productions, Ms Ho's artiste management firm, who made that decision.
But Chew said in court today: "That's a lie."
Chew, Kong and four other CHC leaders are on trial for allegedly misusing millions of church money.
First, $24 million was allegedly used to fund the music career of Ms Ho; then $26.6 million to cover up the initial amount.
