Couple survive after shipping container crushes their car
It's a miracle they survived.
A couple in Qingdao in eastern China's Shandong province survived a shocking accident when their car was flattened by a container, reported Mail Online.
A container truck had overturned and the container had landed right on top of the couple's vehicle, crushing it.
The car was squashed beyond recognition with only 60cm of space left inside.
So you can imagine the surprise of the firemen when they heard a woman shouting for help from inside the wreckage.
Then as the container was raised she reached her hand through the window to give a thumbs up.
No one at the scene expected anyone to survive.
Then the woman stunned firefighters when she walked away from the crash with minor injuries.
Mirror Online reported that the fire bridge spokesman, Chi Tang, said: "It was an incredible scene when we pulled the woman out and found that she was almost unhurt apart from cuts and bruises. The man with her was also alive although his condition was more serious. He had to be cut free although it was possible to get the woman out more easily."
The publication also reported that the driver of the lorry was also hospitalised with minor injuries.
