Cracked cockpit window forces plane to make emergency landing in Bali

This article is more than 12 months old

A Thai Airways International flight from Sydney to Bangkok had to make an emergency landing in Bali when the cockpit developed a cracked window.

Flight TG476, carrying 107 passengers, began to lose cabin pressure - forcing the landing on the Indonesian resort island at 4.52pm on Tuesday, media reports said.

An airline spokesman told news.com.au that the emergency landing at Ngurah Rai International Airport was due to "broken glass" but did not have any further details.

No injuries were reported.

Passengers stayed in Bali overnight. The Thai Airways spokesman said they flew out on Wednesday afternoon.
