Does wearable England flag look like Ku Klux Klan outfit?
We're not quite sure what British supermarket chain Asda was thinking when they designed their World Cup outfit.
The outfit has drawn parallels to the attire of the Ku Klux Klan, thanks to its pointed hood.
Yes, the English are hardcore soccer fans who would do anything for their country's national team. But we don't think they'd want to look like white supremacists in the process.
The outfit, which retails for £3 (S$6.30), is out of stock on the Asda Direct website.
In the company's defence, it's the white base colour that's causing the trouble.
The Brazilian Wearing Flag, with its green base colour, looks totally normal. And it's still available in the store.
The company's spokesman said: 'We know there’s chatter on Twitter about our wearable World Cup flags, but it’s simply a flag with a hood - nothing more, nothing less."
