Dummy weapons found lying near road junction around Sungei Tengah
Two light anti-tank weapons were found unattended along the roadside in the northwest of Singapore on Thursday.
But don't panic, they were just dummy weapons.
The dummy rocket launchers were found by a member of the public near the junction of Sungei Tengah Road and Old Chua Chu Kang Road.
Photos of the weapons, known as MATADOR (Man-portable Anti-Tank, Anti-DOoR), were posted on online forum Hardware Zone shortly before 1pm.
The Singapore Army posted on its Facebook page later in the day that the weapons have been recovered.
It said: "These dummy weapons are meant only for training, and are inert. The unit responsible has recovered the items."
"The SAF (Singapore Armed Forces) takes a serious view of this incident and investigations are currently underway."
