Dear Mr Railway Man, please get daddy home on time.

That was what little Ella Porter wrote in a letter to Southern Rails after her father regularly missed her bedtime, thanks to constant train delays.

In the letter, Ella, from Uckfield in England, also told the train network not to take all of her dad's money as it hampered her chances of visiting Disneyland.

Her letter was shared on social media by her dad Neil Porter and touched netizens.

It read:

"Dear Mr Railway Man, my daddy is always late home and I miss him very much because he always used to tuck me into bed. This makes me upset. Please get him home on time. Daddy says you take all his money, that is why I can't go to Disneyland. i really want to go to Disneyland."

- Ella, aged six

Southern Rails were moved by the tyke's letter and responded with an apology.

A Southern Rails spokesman said: "We are sorry that Mr Porter has been delayed on his way home and that his daughter misses him.

"We and Network Rail are determined to improve the situation and have made some additional changes to the timetable today to help with this."
