Guest Relation Officers in KL provide free sex to illegal gamblers
Illegal gambling dens are facing stiff competition in Malaysia and guest relation officers (GROs) are being employed to increase business.
These underground organisations around Kuala Lumpur have adopted the strategy to attract more patrons, The Star reported citing Kosmo!, a Malay language newspaper.
An owner of one of these illegal gambling dens revealed that GROs go beyond their usual job scope by providing regular customers with extra services for free, including sex, especially if they win big money.
The customers are given "special codewords to enter the premises".
The owner, Wan, 25, who used to own an illegal gambling premises in Sabah said: "...offering free sex sessions to big-time gamblers is a norm within the industry".
He added: "These illegal outlets have been losing business as more customers are opting to gamble online, so they started employing GROs."
Wan admitted to being "RM500,000 (S$195,000) more profitable within just six months of employing 10 GROs from Vietnam and Thailand".
