Fans of under-performing football clubs, listen up.
The next time your club sacks the manager (if it ever happens), you might want to get personally involved in the replacement scouting process.
Because that was what six-year-old Jude Branson did.
And guess what? He was heard.
The young Aston Villa fan wrote a letter to Jose Mourinho, begging "The Special One" to leave Chelsea for low-lying Aston Villa.
Villa had sacked Paul Lambert on Wednesday (Feb 11). In the letter, the boy wrote:
"Dear Mr Mourinho, My name is Jude. I am 6 years old and I support Aston Villa.
"You are my favourite manager. Please could you manage Villa and bring Costa with you? We need help. Thank you Jude Branson."
Mourinho replied to the boy's letter with a signed photograph.
"It'll be framed and put on his bedroom wall. It’s good to know that his letter was read and maybe even planted the seed in his head which will lead him to the Villa job one day.
"This is an excellent way to end a brilliant few days for Jude."
We're giving you an A for effort, Jude!
