Laws needed to prevent recurrence
The New Paper's articles on the Sim Lim Square saga were excellently researched.
Do not let this matter rest until we get a commitment from the relevant agencies to never let such brazen acts happen again in Singapore.
What particularly upsets me is that the authorities have not so far come up with the laws to deter this.
We need laws that will deter anyone who would even dream of such acts which sully the good name of Singapore.
Without such laws, they will be emboldened to carry on.
What we need straight away is at least a reasonable deadline for bureaucrats to come up with the necessary legislation.
