LRT services disrupted by train fault

Passengers had to walk along the tracks of the Bukit Panjang LRT when the service was disrupted for almost an hour yesterday evening.

Train operator SMRT tweeted at 7.20pm that there was an estimated 20 minutes of additional travelling time on the Bukit Panjang LRT.

At 7.44pm, it gave an update: "Due to train fault, Bukit Panjang LRT is running on Service B only."

At 8.15pm, it said normal services had resumed.

Passenger Ang Zeng Xi tweeted that she walked the tracks for the first time on Monday. Another photo on Twitter showed a stalled train and passengers walking on the tracks.
