Malaysian couple keep stillborn for four days to 'bring it back to life'
Their inability to accept their fate led a Malaysian couple to keep their stillborn infant, believed to be their first child, for four days after the dead infant was delivered on Tuesday (Sept 2).
Their plan? To perform rituals to "bring it back to life", reported Metro Ahad.
The couple, who are living in a rented home, were reported to the police by their landlord.
"Police rushed to the house and found the baby’s body in a room on the ground floor of the double-storey house," a source revealed.
The couple were said to have to performed the rituals with their parents' help but when it failed, the man, who is believed to have led the ritual, contacted the landlord.
The report added that the baby's body was sent to Miri Hospital while the parents have been taken in by the Malaysian authorities for questioning.
