Man, 54, arrested for committing obscene acts in Yishun
Police arrested a 54-year-old man on Thursday (Feb 12) for committing a series of obscene acts in Yishun.
Between Jan 20 and Feb 10, at least nine such cases were reported in the area.
By law, obscene is defined as any thing or matter which may deprave or corrupt persons who read, see or hear about it.
On Thursday, at about 8.29 am, police received a call from a member of public stating that a man had committed an obscene act at Yishun North.
Based on descriptions provided, the suspect was identified and arrested shortly after.
He is believed to be responsible for several other cases of obscene acts in Yishun.
He was charged in court today (Feb 14).
If found guilty, he can be jailed for up to three months and/or fined.
