Man jailed for posting nude photo of ex-girlfriend online
A 25-year-old man was jailed 3 months and 10 weeks and fined $30,000 on Tuesday (Feb 2) for posting a nude photograph of his ex-girlfriend online.
Kwek Jian Zong had pleaded guilty to one count of electronically transmitting an obscene object and one count of accessing his ex-girlfriend's Facebook account without permission.
He also admitted to one count of assisting an unlicensed moneylender in April 2013.
Five other charges were taken into consideration for sentencing.
Court papers said that Kwek was in a relationship with his ex-girlfriend from 2008 till 2011, when she broke up with him.
In November 2011, Kwek logged into his ex-girlfriend's Facebook account and posted the nude photograph of her, which he had taken with her consent during their relationship, onto her employer's Facebook page.
