Mistakes made, so Traffic Police amends injury accident stats
This article is more than 12 months old
The Traffic Police (TP) today (Jan 29) said injury accident statistics between 2009 and 2013 had to be amended as errors had been made while collating them during this period.
These changes were made after some inconsistencies - due to issues such as human error - were detected when the data was captured for injury accidents.
For example, the new figure for such accidents in 2013 is now 7,598 when it was formerly 6,277.
Despite the amendments, TP has assured that these discrepencies did not affect investigations of injury accident cases and all cases were investigated.
