A businesswoman learnt the hard way that she should not to leave money lying in the car - after robbers made away with RM200,000 (S$78,800) of her workers' salary.

The 41-year-old boss was having lunch in Semenyih in Selangor when a man broke her car window on Tuesday morning.

Police spokesman Ab Rashid Ab Wahab said yesterday: “She left a bag containing money in the backseat before going out for lunch.

“While at the restaurant, she heard an alarm going off and went to check her car," he added. “As she approached the vehicle, she saw a shadowy figure entering a Perodua Viva with the bag.”

Newspaper The Star reported that another suspect was at the wheels of the get-away car.

Police are reviewing the closed circuit television (CCTV) footage to identify the suspects.

The case has been classified as theft.
