M'sian cops: Neighbour who filmed 'Balcony Sex' pair could be investigated

Malaysian police have said that the person who filmed a couple having sex at the balcony of an apartment could be investigated for being in possession of pornographic material.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Muhammad Azlee Abdullah told The Star Online the person who took the video can keep the video. But the act of sharing the video is similar to distributing pornography.

So the police are obligated to find out who recorded the video, regardless of whether a report was made.

His comments come as an undated video of a couple having sex in broad daylight went viral on social media on Tuesday (May 12).

The footage shows them having sex in the balcony of an apartment in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur.

The 30-min clip was allegedly shot from a separate apartment unit facing the balcony.

Randy couple's "punishment"

ACP Muhammad Azlee urged the public to stop sharing the video.

The police might even have to rope in the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission - to block the video from being spread online - he added.

As for the amorous couple?

He declined to say if the pair will be investigated for indecent exposure because the exact location has not been verified.

MCA Public Complaints Bureau chief Datuk Seri Michael Chong said people who filmed such acts should not circulate them because it was an invasion of privacy.

Chong said the media exposure would be “punishment enough” for the amorous pair.
