M'sian mum pays surprise visit to babysitter, makes shocking find

This article is more than 12 months old

She has been sending her son to the babysitter since June last year.

But he was always hungry when she picked him up.

Sensing something amiss, the factory worker-mother decided to pay a surprise visit to the babysitter's house in north Penang.

What she saw shocked her: The three-year-old was lying on the floor with his hands and feet bound, The Star reported.

Seberang Perai Utara police chief ACP Abdul Rahman Ibrahim said: "The woman... sent her son to the babysitter at 5.30am on Tuesday (Oct 28), and made a surprise visit about five hours later."

All tied up

"She found her son with his hands and feet bound and lying on the floor. At that time, only the babysitter's 11-year-old son was at home." - Seberang Perai Utara police chief ACP Abdul Rahman Ibrahim

An examination showed that the boy was not injured, he added.

The police have arrested a 39-year-old woman to aid investigations.

The woman claimed that the boy was tied up because he was naughty, he said.
