M'sian teacher gives birth in classroom, with colleagues' help
A teacher in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, gave birth to a baby girl in a classroom on Wednesday (Aug 13), with the help of her school principal and other colleagues.
According to Utusan Malaysia, Rabiatul Adawiyah Ibrahim, 29, was hit by labour pains while she was teaching at about 11.30am.
Husband Raja Abdullah Raja Jusoh, a teacher in another school, told the newspaper that the baby was due in two weeks.
"As soon as I arrived at the school, I saw that she had already delivered, with the help of the principal and other teachers. She was then brought to the hospital in an ambulance," he said.
"I'm so glad that she and the baby are safe."
The baby weighed 2.2kg at birth. This is the couple's third child.
