Man charged with extorting $250,000 from male teacher
A man was today charged with extorting close to $250,000 worth of cash and valuables from a male teacher over their alleged sexual relationship.
Vincent Ng Hian Gee, 34, was slapped with eight counts of extortion.
He allegedly threatened to inform the Ministry of Education and the victim's school about their affair if he did not receive cash and valuables including four Chanel bags, a Rolex watch, a gold chain and a pendant.
Ng allegedly committed the offences between Sept 18, 2013 and March 12, last year.
His 45-year-old victim cannot be named due to a gag order.
Ng, who is out on $20,000 bail will be back in court on April 20.
