The Singapore dollar equivalent of US$20 trillion that Asia's swelling ranks of elderly will cost the region in healthcare by the year 2030, according to a study by the Singapore-based Asia Pacific Risk Center. By then, there will be 511 million elderly people in the region, out of 3.8 billion, reported AFP.
