Over 90g of synthetic cannabis seized from two Singaporeans

Two Singaporean men aged 22 and 23 were arrested by the Central Narcotics Bureau on Friday for drug related offences at a Tampines mall.

About 71.7g of synthetic cannabis were found on them.

Another 22.3g was found at the 22-year-old's residence. He will be investigated for trafficking in a controlled drug.

If found guilty, he faces at least five years' jail and five strokes of the cane.

This is the first arrest made for new psychoactive substances after a number of such substances were categorised as Class A controlled drugs on Thursday.
