Photo of teen after drug-rape goes viral
A 16-year-old teen accepted an invite to the house of a friend's friend last month.
While there, Jada accepted a drink from the host, not knowing it had been spiked. She later lost consciousness and was raped, she says.
The worst, however, was not over.
A photo of her unconscious and naked on the ground was later shared on social media.
And appallingly, others have been recreating her pose and putting it up with the hashtag #jadapose.
In an interview with KHOU 11 News, Jada said: "There's no point in hiding. Everybody has already seen my face and my body, but that’s not what I am and who I am.”
The brave teen is telling her story so that other gullible teens can learn that a simple invite from friends can escalate into danger.
Thankfully, Twitter users have been reporting the photos and many of them are no longer available.
Her mother said: “No one’s daughter deserved this. No human being deserved this.”
Note: KHOU 11 News said that while it is their policy not to identify rape victims, Jada, with her mum's blessing, did not want to hide her identity. She says she has nothing to hide and wants the people who did it to be caught.
