Police arrest snatch thief who took bag of 82-year-old woman
A snatch thief who grabbed the handbag of an elderly woman was arrested within 30 minutes of committing the crime.
The incident happened on Saturday afternoon at a block of flats at Holland Drive.
A 82-year-old woman was walking along a common corridor at around 2.50pm when a man snatched her handbag and fled.
The elderly woman went home and sought her husband's help, stated a police press release on Sunday.
He called the police and gave them a description of the suspect.

Police managed to get a photo of the suspect from closed-circuit television cameras in the area.
Officers combed the vicinity and spotted the 51-year-old man at Holland Drive.
They arrested him and seized the woman's handbag and other belongings.
The man was charged in court on Monday for snatch theft.
If found guilty, he can jailed for up to seven years and caned.
