Police help boy, 11, with maths homework after getting call about suspected burglary

This article is more than 12 months old

A boy in Stockholm was alone at home when a loud noise made him think his house was being burgled.

He called his mum and the police, who found nothing when they arrived.

But the two policemen stayed with the boy anyway, helping him with his maths homework, reports Mirror Online.

A police spokesman told Swedish newspaper Nyheter24: "He had called his mother also but he was on his own when the police got there and they didn't want to leave him alone.

"So they sat down and helped him with his multiplication tables and other homework."

The news made the rounds on social media after police posted about the incident on Twitter last week.
