Rain on a weekend after weeks of hot, dry weather?
It should come as a welcome surprise - except that today's rain is almost "apocalyptic", according to netizens all over the island.
The National Environment Agency sent out multiple heavy rain warnings this afternoon (March 22):
Even that didn't prepare some Singaporeans for the lightning, thunder and heavy downpour in the afternoon.
At Marina Bay Residences, this is how heavy the rain was:

According to the NEA's website, the showers are expected to continue for at least the next three days.
