Singapore and Malaysia anti-narcotics agencies smash drug syndicate run by Sporean.
After more than two years of working together, anti-narcotics agencies from Singapore and Malaysia smashed a drug syndicate run by a Singaporean.
It had been active on both sides of the Causeway.
On Wednesday, Malaysia's Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) arrested the syndicate's ringleader, a 46-year-old Singaporean fugitive in Johor Baru.
The Malaysia-based syndicate is believed to be capable of supplying close to 4.5kg of heroin and 500g of Ice - as well as other other drugs - into Singapore per week.
NCID officers also seized drugs including 580g of heroin, 370g of Ice and 150 Ecstasy tablets.
